Interesting Group of Old Frames

I came across this group of handmade frames a couple of weeks ago and finally got them cleaned up and photographed. They were cut from 1/4" plywood and each one is finished a little differently. One of the larger ones is just stained, but the others have crackled or metalic finish. There is a stand on one frame, but the rest all have hangers. All you have to do is slide your artwork or family photo in the top and it's ready to hang!

I found a few interesting things at the Victory Home thrift store this afternoon, a couple of vintage silk scarves and a fun folk art ceramic Portuguese rooster - very Boho! They also had a collection of small pitchers.  It reminded me of my Grandma Rhina, whose pitcher collection filled a large book cabinet in her living room. People brought them to her from all over the world and I loved having her tell me about each one. She remembered where each came from and had a tiny rolled up paper inside each with the name of the person who gave it to her.  I inherited my love for collecting small things from her!!
