Sorry, this item has sold.

This is a great vintage book by Lillian Smith, a Clayton, Georgia author during the Civil Rights Movement. She was one of just handful of white southern authors who supported Martin Luther King Jr and his work and she was mentioned in his famous letter sent from the Birmingham jail. This book is " The Journey", a first edition and was published in 1954. It was published by The World Publishing Company, Cleveland and New York. The book measures 5 5/8" x 8 3/8", the jacket is present, but in pretty tattered condition and the book does have a bit of an old book smell.
Proceeds from the sale of this book will go to the Rabun County Library in Clayton, GA.
