This is a beautiful antique hand made wooden work basket! It measures 12" x 14" x 13 1/2" tall and I believe it is made of hand split oak or ash splints. The basket is in good condition, just a little breakage of the rim lashing, please study the photographs. It also has 4 rows of dyed split for decoration and 2 nails holding the rim and handle together. These old handmade baskets have a lot of rustic charm and were an important tool at a time when farm women needed a strong basket to carry eggs, vegetables, groceries and a multitude of other things!
