This is a great old patchwork quilt with asymmetric vertical stripes made from pieced parts of faded red cotton print fabric and black wool suiting. It is backed with a patchwork of random sized pieces of gray striped flannel and beige cotton. This was a blanket made from what was available and has been well-used! It has been repaired and patched and needs more repairs. There are also stains. The home made quilt top was machine sewn, but the binding is hand sewn and it was hand tied. There is a lot of history in this blanket!
