This is a sweet little old pine needle basket. It measures 4 1/2" in diameter x 2" tall and has a cardboard base. The inside bottom is lined with tattered blue silk damask filled with cotton batting. I think it had some kind of lid at one time, there is a thread with a small white bead still attached. These baskets were sometimes sold to tourists as travel souvenirs and this one has 65 with a cents sign written in pencil on the cardboard base.
