This is a great vintage aluminum tool box! The only thing I've seen like this are the D-Flite tack boxes made by Defiance Metal Products, but this looks like the insert that was inside a case and in the pictures I've seen of the D-flite models the inside part doesn't look removable. But, their hinges look like these. Anyway, I love the look of this and I think it'd work great for sewing, beading or any craft with small parts. Or for storing small toys. There are lots of small compartments! It measures 15" x 6" x 8 1/2" high at the handle. It is in good vintage condition, lots of surface scratching from use. The hinges all work and the trays fold out pretty smoothly. The handle is stationary and there are some rust stains on the bottom.
