This is a collection of 5 butterflies mounted in batting in a black frame. The name labels read: The Common Jay, The Common Tiger, The Striped Blue Crow, The Lime Butterfly and The Great Archduke. These were imported, the butterflies are mostly from Asia and India. The frame shows some wear and I'd guess the collection is from the 1970s, but done in a traditional style with the black frame and batting. The frame measures 4 3/4" x 14 3/4" and has some wear around the edges and the backing has a few tears.
