These are both pieces of English tea leaf Ironstone. They were made by different companies, but were both made in England and the marks are from 1987-1904. The sugar bowl has the copper luster tea leaf, measures 3 3/4" tall x 3 1/4" at the widest point, and is in good condition having some wear of the copper metallic lines at the top, on the handles and at the base. The lid is missing and the maker was MELLOR, TAYLOR & Co., ENGLAND WARRANTED STONE CHINA. The saucer measures 6" in diameter x 1" high, is in good condition with just one tiny chip on the foot and the makers marks are: ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA / ALFRED MEAKIN / ENGLAND. There is also an impressed mark and an applied 1 T. These are great old pieces of English ironstone!
