Sorry, this item has sold.

This is a group of 4 small baskets made by the Tarahumara people from the Copper Canyon area of Mexico. Their technique of twill weaving with Pine needles is extremely intricate and beautiful! The first basket on the left is double-walled, twill weave and measures 2 3/4" tall x 3 1/4" at the widest diameter. The center, back basket is single-walled, twill weave with lid and measures 2" tall x 4 1/8" in diameter. The center front basket is single-walled, twill weave with lid and measures 1 7/8" tall x 1 3/4" in diameter. The basket on the right is double-walled, twill weave with lid and measures 2 3/4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter. All 4 are in excellent condition, the only damage I see is the tiny braid that attached the lid to the basket on the smallest one is broken at the basket end, see photos. This is a sweet little collection!
