These are vintage glass containers. They both have their original metal lids, though I'm not sure the cork is original to the bottle lid. The bottle is 4 1/2", has a pretty raised pattern and the lid is brass (magnet doesn't react). The jar stands just under 4 1/4" tall, has a ribbed pattern and the metal lid has "QUALITY COUNTS" and XYZ on top. The base of the jar reads: DES. PAT. 100014. They are both in excellent condition, no cracks or chips.
