This is a beautiful old round wooden butterfly lacquer ware box. It is the beautiful cinnabar color with black interior and recessed base and is decorated with several styles of butterflies in red gold and silver. The lid has a nice little knob with a gold flower and nice wear. The box measures 6 5/8" in diameter x 3 1/4" and is in good condition just some fading, chipping and wear patina from use. There is also a very fine crack at the edge of the lid, please examine the photos carefully. A really nice old box!
