I really don't anything about this...it seems to be carved from wood or maybe a woody pod of some kind. It is painted a terracotta color, with carved patterns on the center back. The snake is 21" long x 2 1/4" wide and has painted eyes and mouth. The sculpture is in good condition, just a crack down the back where the wood dried out. Looks like it could be Australian or African.
