This is a great old nut bowl and hammer by Ellwood Rusticware made in the 1950s. The bowl is made from a cross section of a log with the bark intact. The bottom still has the original felt and sticker reading: Ellwood / RUSTICWARE / THE FINEST IN / RUSTIC SOUVENIRS AND / HOUSEHOLD GIFTS. The bowl was made to hold nuts and has a center post with metal top and comes with the original hammer with metal caps to crack the nuts against the post in the bowl. The set is in nearly perfect condition! It's hard to find the bowl and hammer still together and they're such a fun, decorative accessory for a cabin or cottage!
