This is a great depression era glass Sugar/Cookie/Cracker jar with its original metal lid. The jar is large, round, measures 6 3/4" in diameter x 7 1/4" tall and is in great condition with a little scratching, especially around the "equator" of the jar. The neck has the typical diagonal lines around the top. The bottom marks read: PAT. APRL. 1, 24 printed in a circle which is a little hard to read because it looks like the information was printed again over the top. The metal lid is 5 1/4" in diameter and has some rust, especially on the top. These jars were made by the Sneath Glass Company for the Hoosier Cabinet Company to sell with their kitchen cabinets.
