This is a vintage toy bird made from brightly colored lithographed tin. I think it was made in the 1950s or 60s and is marked JAPAN. There are balsa wood fins attached to the back of the tail, but I'm not sure of their purpose. The wings are movable and the bird is in great condition measuring 7" long including the balsa fins.
