This is a beautiful old Dayak Borneo Ajat or pack basket handwoven from rattan. The basket is a nice large size, 15 1/2" tall x 9" in diameter. It has a great rich dark color and the beautiful geometric patterns these weavers are known for! It is in great condition, the straps are intact with a bit of fraying in a couple of spots. A simply gorgeous piece of art!
