This is a beautiful blue Water Lily/Lotus platter by Francis Joseph Von Tury. He was a potter from Hungary who worked both there and in the U.S. Much of his pottery is Impressionist style with dreamy blue and green floral motifs. I think the platter is porcelain, and this one is large, 16" long x 11" wide and 1 3/4" deep. Unfortunately it does have a chip on one side, see photo plus a very tiny chip that doesn't show in the photos. The Vontury mark is inscribe in the bottom. This is a really lovely platter!
