This is a vintage Lion plate by David Gil for Bennington Potteries of Vermont. The lion has lots of character, the glazes are mottled tan and brown with touches of green and no chips or cracks. The plate measures 7" x 8 1/2" x 3/4" tall and has a hanger on the back. The bottom mark reads BENNINGTON VERMONT. This little plate would made a great addition to your mid century kitchen!
