This is a beautiful blackware vase made in 1989 in the native American traditional coil construction style. It was burnished with a stone to achieve the shiny finish. It was made by Ted Guenthes of Canton, Mississippi and purchased through the Mississippi Museum Of Art, Jackson, MS. The Pot is in perfect condition, measures 7 3/4" tall x 5 3/4" in diameter at the shoulder and signed on the base.
